Map institutions

Institutional mapping provides an overview of the structure of power and influence for the issue, geographic and legal boundaries of governance, how governance relates to human activities and insight to the social hierarchy.  

Key actions

  • Identify the institutions and organizations who are players.
  • Show the relationships between those institutions and organizations – location with respect to each other, social relationships, rules and power.
  • Define functional and geographic boundaries for each institution and organization.
