Identify relevant environmental, social and economic elements

This action should be conducted by natural, social and economic scientists in the SAF core team to provide information on (or list) the elements in the different system components that are related to the Policy Issue. 

The natural and economic scientists should focus on the hazards that relate to technical, evidence-based impacts, while the social scientist needs to uncover citizen/stakeholder perceptions, desires, ethics, or what may cause outrage (anger, upset or scare).

  • List the environmental, social and economic (ESE) components that are relevant to the issue. 

From the main economic activities list 

  • the economic indicators.
  • potential social indicators for use in comparing outcomes of management options.
