This action can be conducted using the Marine Ecosystem Services Assessment Tool (MESAT) developed for the Systems Approach Framework (SAF) application. From a list of Ecosystem Services (ES) a group of experts define which ES are most relevant for the Policy Issue. To assess each ES, a list of indicators have been identified as appropriate to assess the state of the ES. Follow the link below to guide you to how to apply the MESAT.
This system state can be the baseline for later comparison, once the SAF application has been completed.
